Hi Guys,
New member here with a bit of a mystery problem I was hoping to get some advice. Basics of the problem are that I do not have a water supply to an en suite mixer shower but for no reason I am aware, my guess is that there may be an air block to the supply side but where and is this likely to both hot and cold supplies? I have changed the thermostatic cartridge which was the initial problem and the valves to stop the water have been closed for one week, now opened up and no water, but supply not affected to all other outlets of the house upstairs or down. The in line isolation valve from the hot water cylinder is just the other side of the mixer unit and consequently is only about 30cm away it is now open but no water to this mixer tap, where did it go? any ideas? Thanks,
Kind Regards,
Phil Pyman

Try taking the shower head off and keep hose low as poss. Also if it's a surface mounted shower then you can always disconnect the nuts b4 the cartridge to see if getting flow. Also you may need to adjust the controls.

Sounds like a air lock, have u taken the mixer off and still no wet stuff
Thank you all for your responses thus far. If I knew how to upload a photograph onto this thread then I would do so but what I can try to describe a little better. I have removed a central and concealed thermostatic cartridge from the main manifold body of the shower unit which has tow NRV's for hot and cold either side. I closed these NRV's to stop the water flow about a week ago, changed the cartridge and then reopened the NRV's, then no water, have since taken off the front of the hot water NRV, still nothing. The in line isolation valve for the hot water is only 30cm away in the adjoining airing cupbd and feels hot 1" pipe supply. Doesn't seem like a 1" pipe would be blocked or airlock easily? Have not located the isolation valve for the cold water feed yet, any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks all.
