hi all. i think the main board has gone on my worcester 28i boiler. ive had a look at a replacement part and its over £100. so is it best for me to use british gas or someone local to fix it? if i took out of of those homecare services thats on offer would i get it fixed with that? thanx

It's an existing fault so boiler schemes would not cover it. Npower do a fixed price repair at £176 ish. I would rather the work went to a local engineer but as you seem cost aware, I doubt a local engineer would be able to do it for less than Npower.
