CAPTAINJO

HI guys and good morning to one and all nice to be on here. We have had our new Wooster Greenstar 42Cdi installed on 23/4/2010 we are very happy with it, but i was walking into the house the other day and i heard this very loud noise did not know what is was coming from, we now know it is our boiler, i called me my husband up as i heard the noise again and when my husband just put his hand on the front of the boiler it started vibrating for the duration of the loud noise/sound, we have a chap coming from Wooster to have a look at it on Wednesday. We had a chap from British Gas to come and look at it as we have a contract to maintain our boiler every year, and guess what? no noise, any thoughts fellow posters, many thanks CAPTAINJO😡

The first thing the Engineer should / will do is to check air / gas ratio, this is invariably the cause of "hooting" on this boiler, if indeed that is what you're hearing
