repair
The technical meaning of maintenance involves functional checks, servicing, repairing or replacing of necessary devices, equipment, machinery, building infrastructure, and supporting utilities in industrial, business, and residential installations. Over time, this has come to include multiple wordings that describe various cost-effective practices to keep equipment operational; these activities occur either before or after a failure.
Had central heating installed 9months ago, came back this morning (after stopping at my partners lastnight) to water Soding out of my bedroom radiator, the pipe had literally dropped down and fell out of the connector going into the radiator. Should this repair be covered under the plumber who...

Hi All,
Thanks for taking a look at this. I currently have a massive condensation patch on the inside of my wall behind my gas meter (Pics attached.) The box lock is damaged and the seal around the enclosure has perished so ideally I would like to replace the box, however my understanding is...
Hello there,
I have quite a story and a looking for some advice here.
On Thursday during the cold snap our hot water stopped working (in the sense of not water at all coming out of the taps). The central heating was working fine. As I have two newborns and having encountered this for the very...

Hi I've got a gloworm 100e boiler that's ceased firing up,Heating engineer came out said the circuit board is fried,He said parts are now obsolete so you need a new boiler,Can this circuit board be replaced as short term option ???
So I've got a Glow Worm back boiler fronted by a gas fire, at least 15 years old probably a lot more.
The water heating makes a row as there is a partial blockage in one of the pipes - this I believe to be resolvable with a power flush and pump replacement.
The front fire is spilling fumes and...
Hi
I fitted a bath/shower 12 years ago and a few months ago it developed a leak.
It was basically at a coupler on 40mm solvent where my new white PVC joined the existing grey PVC.
I cut a hole in the ceiling and could also easily view it with the bath panel off but not access it from there...
Can anyone give handy advice for pricing repair jobs, please? Do I add a % on parts? What about a PRV that's hard to get to? Do you take the difficulty into consideration?
Appreciate any advice
Hello all.
First post and would really appreciate some advice / knowledge please.
I'm attempting a home DIY repair on a Climapro2 handset I have. Some corrosion/furring of the battery terminals that I've sorted, but the small button battery has also corroded and suspect is knackered. Display...

After some advise on repairing a sink waste that goes into the toilet pan, which goes straight into soil stack.
Had bathroom done 2 years ago, and then needed a new basin waste fitted recently.

Hi all,
Quick question. I have a baxi 105e instant that has a Diverter valve issue. The bypass is allowing hot water around the bypass pipe and into the CH return pipe. I have looked at a rebuild kit and it seems that there are 2 listed. One is a cartridge type and the other more a kit. My...
Current boiler Worcester Greenstar 30CDi installed Aug 2011. Started showing error EA. Initially a rest made it work again but last Thursday it would reset but then showed the same error after a few minutes. No heating (only problem is heated towel rail does not heat) but also no hot water. Then...
My step-daughter bought a 50's end-terraced house at the start of the year, and found there was a leak from Mira bar shower that was coming through the bedroom wall from the bathroom on the other side of the wall. The shower is over the bath and the bathroom walls are tiled around three sides of...

Hi.
Potential customer has a leaking 10l Ariston Europrisma cylinder. Probably just a flange gasket or the magnesium anode needs replacing.
While I feel this is easily the sort of task I can tackle as I am very good at mending things, I get the impression I'd need my G3 to install such a...
On a tight budget, but I'm handy. The diverter leaks both ways, it has a little lever to flip back and forth. Either way, the shower is getting water when you don't want it to, or you're getting lots out of the faucet but not enough pressure from the shower. I tried to pull the stem, but I...
Please excuse the long story!
so, my central heating kept tripping the fuse in the consumer unit. I read that moisture in the boiler could be the problem and had a look at the flu which, it was evident, had been leaking water into the outer flu and back into the boiler.
I chose the top rated...
