Hi all. What's the easiest way of identifying a one pipe heating system?

Flow and return teed into same pipe, possibly tboe for the valves

Tboe?? I'm asking incase there's a clue or sign before having to lift the boards.

tboe is top, bottom, opposite entry. That's not always the case with a one pipe though. You are going to have to pop a board and have a look really.

Yeah, that's why I said possibly, but as Mfgs says you'll have to pop a board

If the rads are fed by drops, then its probably a 2 pipe
A one pipe is generally a ring main right around the house with short tails up into the rad valves, which are usually all lockshields
However, that's not to say there wont be any exceptions

Flow going upstairs and appearing as a return from downstairs.
Old imperial copper.
There are a few clues, but best take a board up or two to confirm.
