I Need to fit 19 new TRVs on my system as the old ones are pretty shot. Some are alot newer on the lower floor but I think it's best to fit all new TRVs and Locks.

Which TRV would you guys go for. I want something decent and reliable. Happy to spend upto around 20 a set.

Drayton 4 come up alot on search.

Thanks. Mike

Danfoss ras c2

If you are in a hard water area
Danfoss rock up, Drayton are the neatest in my opinion
To be quite honest trv valves suck, intermediate technology
You are better off with temp sensors and zone valves, trv close and make the pump push against closed valves ...uck

We have a new innovative solution ready mid 2019

which honeywell are you guys using. we had to stop using them after alot of complaints about noise/ vibrations. They have def reduced the quality of the contract range.

i prefer danfos valves but most decent brands last as good as the next.

i think we have had problems with thoses as well. i may be wrong. as with most manufacturers product quality has dropped, honeywell included.

Agree with your first point, but proportional pressure pumps work well with TRVs so not such a big deal as with fixed speed pumps. Plus while I put a multizone system in my old house and it worked beautifully, it will cost more and be a lot more work than simply replacing TRVs.

That said, there are systems which use wireless controls in place of conventional TRVs that can call back to the boiler for heat which the OP might do well to consider.
