Really hope that someone out there can help cos Bosch are being impossibly unhelpful.

We had a new Bosch oil condensing greenstar camray utility system boiler fitted in early Oct 09. We have no outside wall to locate the boiler, so we kept it where our old one was under an existing unlined chimney. Bosch's new flexi flue liner (conventional) seemed the ideal answer to our problems as we could use the existing chimney and keep the boiler in the same location.

We have constantly complained that there is a strong smell of fumes when the boiler switches off coming from around the air intake, whislt no fumes at all when it is running. The combi version of this boiler has a purge fan that runs on to remove any residual fumes in the chimney, but the system doesn't. So as soon as the boiler switches off, any residual fumes in the flue liner just sink gradually back into the utility room as it is not room sealed.

The bosch technician fully agreed with this, and went away to speak to his manager and came back saying that it was probably the adhesive around the combustion chamber causing the problem. That is complete rubbish, as it smells of oil fumes and nothing else.

I am at a total loss as to what to do, as Bosch seem very resistant to the idea of even checking it out.

Any ideas very very welcome as we are at our wits end.

Thanks

what is the model number of the satronic/honeywell control box - or does it have a different one. need the number ie 811.11 or dkg972 and the mod number 5,10 or 43,45 etc.

Looked everywhere but not sure where this will be written. Is it the wiring box or the actual control on the wall nr the boiler. It isn't integral to the boiler as it isn't a combi.
