I had a moment of enlightment earlier, everybodys saying they havent got much on and we shouldnt give all our knowledge away for nothing, and also were complaing about companies like rated people charging for customers numbers so we should start up rated plumbers were we charge people for our information and talk em through how to do it from our computor without having the hassle of running a van etc . That way we arnt giving all our knowledge away for free here

Maybe we could have a "Free" section on this forum where you get to ask a question, but then a "paid" section where you can read what the answer is?..:bomb: lol

Sounds good in theory but half the forum have Trusted Advisor status, us mere mortals are named after a pub in cyber space and the rest make up the numbers. So who would be the "Rated Plumbers" that would give the paid for answers?

But what happens when you get 10 replies from members all with different awnsers.... Will the customer get a refund from all the wrong replies.

Nah, no refunds.... or credit.. my answer was tongue in cheek too btw...
There's a site that does this already but you only deal with one "specialist" and you pay for his/her answer. Ive used it on a question about Scots Law..

i've a theory that you've been offered trusted advisor status and have turned it down. perhaps out of a sense of comradely kinship with your fellow plebs, not wanting to be hoisted above the rabble. i mean your plumbing knowledge is absolutely enormous so it's unthinkable that it's down to not knowing enough or giving enough advice. on a sidenote i genuinely think i should be made a trusted advisor just out of a passion for the hilarious.

wasn't there someone on dragon's den once who was pitching a phone service for something trades based and when the dragon phone it nobody picked up? epic, epic fail.

I would prefer "Untrusted Deviant" actually... then If I gave out wrong advice then they would have no-one to blame except themselves for listening to me..

No, I don't fluff pillows like some and speak my mind.
