Hello all. I don't normally by parts online, and use my local PTS. Anyway, I meant to order some boiler parts today and forgot, so figure I might try and get them online (should be quicker).

Anyone got a website that they've used and is good?

Cheers.

Boiler Spares and Boiler Parts - AK Gas

both are very good

Cheers, loads of suggestions there.

I will go and take a look and see who's doing the best price.

Thanks all.

Think I may have to phone PTS in the morning.

I'm after the pilot burner for that Glow Worm Micron 100FF I mentioned the other week. Which is fine, as is the electrode which I'm going to replace too. The problem is I snapped the pilot pipe (between the gas valve and the pilot). I'm just trying to find the part number.

Yeah, I've got the manual, but the parts not listed. Guess they didn't count on some heavy handed fool snapping one!

Bit of a pain as I've worked on Microns before with a blocked pilot and never snapped it, guess it was just bad luck.

Thanks, at least its not just me!

Anyway, I've found one for a tenner. Bargain!! Boilerparts.co.uk

Or the other option of crushing the pilot jet when trying to remove from the assembly after being tightened by the incredible hulk beforehand.

Yeah, that was it.....wasn't my fault it was the last bloke!!

Ordered. Quite painless.

So adjustable APS's. Are they really any good? Wouldn't have thought to ever use one.

Always good to have a few excuses lined up ;)

I've never been too sure about adjustable aps, can never be 100% sure it's set at the correct pressure, it is a safety feature.

Yeah that's my thoughts too. Think I'll stick to using the correct part, though they must be a life saver to have on board on certain occasions.

Had to go to three places to get an APS for another old Glow Worm the other week. The Honeywell one they used in everything so not a rare part. Took bloomin ages to track one down.

they work if you know what your doing, you can take a mb or kpa reading off the fan this will tell you what to set the aps to,a easy rough guide is fit said aps run it up,remove the positive tube from the aps and refit combustion door if you know the flues good and it does not run you have more or less the right reading

That's cheap! I'm gonna buy one or two as stock. I'll take on board about what you say with regards to testing them. So I take it you use them quite a lot and have no problems?

Sorry, probably should have started another thread!
