Wheres good for hob fittings.
Had a few where theres just a male and no iron elbow included.

Sent off for a few from Hamiltons in ireland as the local suppliers are a shower of $€£¥.

After a 1/2 flat face female onto a 10mm or 15mm compression similar to this.

Can't see picture but jt doves norham rd
Or pipe center - silver link

Its makes my blood boil you wouldn't buy a boiler and not be able to connect pipe to it!! Might be just me but it always puts doubt in my mind if I'm using the right fitting.

I agree, and why can't they come up with a decent way to fix them down. Bloody screws and brackets that never have enough counter top to engage on because the carcass underneath is edge to edge.

I know always use high temp silicone and the clips. Your right there crap.

sillicone should be avoided really, use the manufacturers seal as the hob will need to be removed for service/repair.

as for connecting a gas supply, its crazy that theres no ideal standard solution.

it also does not help most kitchen fitters cant cut worktop very straight or to size.

Problem is the threaded socket on the flat face is very shallow and a typical brass 1/2 to 15mm comp union is too deep as they are usually meant for a taper and the washer wont seal as run out of threads.

As i say I have sourced the correct fitting but surprised the locals look blank faced when you ask lol.

It should but not keen on the play dough it comes with! I've got them out when siliconed in but admittedly a bit time consuming.
