Any one heard of them or work for them?

in what town? i know City Technical in Glasgow very well
I know them quite well myself.
I know one guy who still works with them and a few others who were laid off a few weeks ago after they lost a big contract.

city technical is a big company in glasgow with a good few contracts, well run company, very strict, part of the City group who also own CBES and have a company in Australia

My understanding is that City Technical are very selective in who they employ, in respect to what football team you support.

My mate now works for them. I nearly did but had a re-think at the eleventh hour.
Be prepared to do some crazy hours for your money (standby/weekends) and constantly pulled up about going a few miles an hour over speed limit as they monitor trackers stringently.
Seam to have enough work though.

Lol pal Celtic it is then....

Well, lets just say there's certain questions asked like: 'Whit daya huv fur yer tea on a Friday?'
Or if you didn't go to a Skool with 'St' in it's name, you'd be aswell staying at home!!

Nonsense, willie haughey is the CEO, now a sir, was a director at Celtic, but I've spoke to the man about that very subject he laughed when the subject came up, his answer was "I won't get another £1 million by being a bigot, if you are good enough you are in" in fact they made a point of having both green and blue in their logo to reduce the chance of people at their clients either favouring them or not if they went with blue OR green

I know the company quite well and they have very strict systems in place to ensure they ( at least on paper) do everything they should, if anyone is caught doing anything that breaks the regs the person gets severely disciplined usually leading to the sack

Sorry didn't mean to quote Gerry here, haha, my nonsense comment was that they only employ supporters of the second most successful team in scotland, there are plenty of Rangers fans there, in the " good old days" it may have been different, like most large companies up here, the local council to me ( formerly Monklands District Council) now North Lanarkshire, would simply not employ you unless you were a catholic, and you get an application form from a gaffer at the pineapple on a Sunday, my in laws were all in the building trade, now retired, and as they are Catholics they all worked there at some point, when I joined the family they were delighted to have a plumber in the gang but told me they couldn't get me a job with the council as I wasn't a catholic, and that was only 30 yrs ago haha

I think the 'on paper' hits the nail on the head Kirk. City is like lots of firms in this town, when push comes to shuv, you're a Billy or Tim.

so it not being ran by former tts?.. seen they have loads of service/breakdown vacancies =]

I work for them and thay are a good company to work for. They are a big company . Also ,you do 1 weekend
standby a month and one standby midweek. It's better than doing a whole week standby every 4 or five weeks.
As for being constanly tracked , thats nonsense. I worked for Scottish Gas before them and they were more strict.
As for them being religously biased thats a load of nonsense too. I just thought I'd set the record straight.
