I have a remeha avanta plus 35c combi boiler only 3 years old. Worked fine until recent service. When heating the radiators there is a bang every 1-2 minutes. I took the front cover off and can see a flash in the black plastic housing connected to fan. Suspect it may be a mini explosion
Spoke with engineer who said it cannot be anything he has done and I may need a new boiler. Seems strange to me and as it has let me down on a number of occasions would prefer to speak to another engineer

As lame says get a qualified gas engineer in who knows what he's about.
u shouldn't pull the covers off, its illegal to open an appliance up if you're not gas safe registered
