Job all,

I was wondering if this type of flue is acceptable or perhaps forbidden?

I just came back from a quoting job a time a customer and took this picture. He wants to replace the boiler and therefore we had a meeting regarding bathrooms dn boiler.

To me it looks very odd and therefore asking you guys?

What make of boiler ?

I know some a few years ago looked like that due to the vertical kit being bigger and normally manufacturer shows it in there book

Baxi had one Worcesters were the same etc

I would be looking what's above it (other side of the roof)

no i mean flue terminal needs to be 600mm away from any opening source

That's correct. I have checked it and there is no obstructions and the clearance is more than 600mm away from everything. They have put the flue in an angle to achieve that. The flue isn't going straight out of the roof it goes in an sharp angle

Perhaps a bit late now, but why is gas fittings/ boilers being discussed on an open forum?

Should this not be in Gassafe closed forum?

ron isnt gas safe ;) and in the arms

It's plumber arms not really open forum And I think it's not really related in details. I just asked if the flue is acceptable as it looks dodgy that's all

I am doing the job anyway with my mate so he will know how to install the new flue and what's the regs like. In worse case scenario I have got the logic book which will tell us the right dimensions and the installation manual too. But thanks a lot KOP for your advise as well as thank you to anyone who took part in helping me. Thumbs up
