Evening all,

I've drilled a few bathtap holes before but I'm doing a bathroom at the moment and the showerbath has a nice flat area on the side where the taps 'should' go but they want them on the front (normal place) There's plenty of room but underneath there is an encapsulated plywood ridge right in the way of the tap tail. This would mean half the backnut will be in mid air with the tail thread exposed.

There is a shower going over the tap end as well. Has anyone else drilled here before?

I should imagine it'll be okay, just thought I'd see if I wasn't making a big mistake as its NOT a cheap bath.

Cheers.

I would only do it if you get their agreement that if it goes wrong you are not responsible.
