Place just over the road from me with the exact same layout less the brick built workshop and driveway has just sold for 200k!!

i purchased mine in 2012 for 139k and can safely say there is not a fibre of my being that would pay that much for a house in this area! I expected the area to hit a 180k ceiling over 10 years but that is ridiculous people need there heads checking!!

Prices down my way are a joke new build houses sell at that sort of rate , what makes me laugh most down my end tho is that i know an estate agent who is area manager is a convicted burglar
lol work that out .

Part of the UK fairy tale economy.... just like the ''kings new suit''

Bet he puts real detail into the property description. A lovely well presented and lavishly furnished 3 bed spacious semi detached with side access to rear. Double glazing all round incorporating 3 point locking and motion sensors fitted throughout, this property also benefits from the halt 5000/zsp. Viewing by appointment only as the Alsatian needs to be taken out.

It's gotta stop increasing soon.

No issues for me & other oldies but how about our offspring?

Unless you can afford to give them a whacking great lump for a depo they're buggered.

I can't & don't know anyone who can.

Chap I know, 45 yo, chartered surveyor just applied for monster mortgage. £800k. How can you ever pay that back. Yeah he earns very well but spends £700 on 2 cars. Craziness

I bought mine August 13 for 156.000 was 165 asking price for 3 bed mid terrace big front and back garden with garage admittedly needed work 6 months later two in same road where up for 200.000 with no real front garden and they sold quick another went for 215.000 and another is up for 220.000 crazy really

Estate agents talk the market up tho and what annoys me most with that lot is that they pass no quals or degrees whatsoever to be a specialist in housing !!!!!

When i bought my house i had some idiot showing me a under stairs cupboard and trying to talk it up as a modern feature wtf

Property down my way (Billericay, Essex) has gone mental. Just keeps going up. A pal of mine bought his 4 bed last year for 300k, exactly a year later he is selling it and it's just gone for £410,000

Had one tell me oh put a combi here that's what everyone's doing nowadays and do this before I stopped him dead and then told him what I did

Same thing is happening over in Dublin. You kno what hit d fan 2008. House prices dropped badly. My road was 475k, went down to 200k. Now it's back to 370k. Central bank now says ye need a 20% deposit. Hard 1 for first time buyers. It has slowed market slightly. But things are going through d roof here too
