I bought a freestanding tap. The instructions were rather undetailed but I've been able to work most of it out. However one thing I don't understand is the base connection(see pictures). The instructions has an arrow and G 1/2 but why are the holes off to the side? How can I connect this without restricting the flow. Are the holes supposed to be like this? Am I missing a part?

All help appreciated

Nope there right just a cheap tap

Hope it's not going on anything gravity

it has been drilled after casting to create the waterway rather than the difficult of having an internal water way. Looking at the pictures, particularly the last one i don't think they could have drilled it much bigger as it lines up with the other connections.

Thanks guys. So if I plumb this in I shouldn't have any problems with flow?

Not doing gravity fed. Would you be shocked if I told you the tap wasnt cheap Shaun!
