early finish today pub time!!!!!

Join me for a pint chaps

Oh go on then, if your twisting my arm. :8:

Absolutely mate first early finish I've had in about five weeks so I'm chuffed to bits

Shouldn`t you be polishing pipes to fit valves or sorting out leaks on old cast rads? lol

Ha ha no but that's another story. Probably one that will come out after a couple of pints. Needless to say I won't be completing that job

customer didnt trust you?

The leak I sorted with very little problem System just need some heat in it. Basically The technical agent at this sales company called the customer and said that the plumber must be using the wrong sort of pipe. Now I don't know how many different variations of 15 mm pipe you can buy, but there is categorically no way you're going to force 15 mm solid pipe into a 14.5 mm solid valve. Problem is the customer is one of those very logical types that can't understand why if one valve works and can be fitted why the rest can't. You can just see them glaze over when you start saying about how they been made in the factory. He basically gave me the ultimatum of fit them or he'll get someone else so I said fine get someone else. I'm not risking my insurance for some idiot, no skin off my nose and now I'm sat in the pub enjoying myself

Ah, The customer is always right scenario

Unless their wrong!

It's a shame he was a very good customer, but I always had the feeling he was one of those that didn't understand plumbing in any way shape or form and just thought things could magically happen. I should've seen the signs when he had a falling out with the electrician when he wouldn't fit the downlighters that the customer had bought in the bathroom because they weren't to spec for those zones. As I said full of intelligence but no common sense

;D should of given him some plastic pipe and a grinder here you do it ;)

Ha ha wish I had. I just don't want them to ruin their brand-new kitchen which really does look the dogs danglies much as he was a pain I understand why just because he just doesn't get it. Would love to see the look on his face though when he gets my bill for 2 1/2 days when I couldn't work because the valves are wrong

Happy weekend! Fish and chips glass or three of vino.

I'm 5 pints of the black stuff in and the Mrs has just asked if I can hang some blinds.....

Well she's not going to like it, but...

Drunk DIY never ends well. I was plastered and my mate asked me to look at his boiler. Had to politely decline

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
