Just seen in b&q got benders at half price if anyone needs one and had a good old rummage through the bargin bin

I saw the 15% off power tools leaflet as I was buying a new 9" grinder yesterday. It would have been nice to wait until Monday but the soil stack I was half way through when the old one died wouldn't wait.

rather have a bend it now or old type bender from ebay to be honest even for half price. record/hilmor benders are poor quality now.......... as most tools seem to be.

according to a record rep they are aware of this and are addressing it????????????/

you would hope they know that there product has droped in quality, if they do somet about it then great, but its been many years since the poor quality has crept in imo.

Well I bought a set before seeing this.
Irwin Hillmor (Irwin box, Hillmor product) benders for less than ÂŁ30 in B and Q clearance bin.
Bargain - I cant comment on the old benders referred to above but they are a league ahead of my old benders, and feel far more precise and 'tight' than other different benders I have used.
Well pleased.

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.
