Morning all,

You call tell I'm on holiday as I actually have time to think about things. Last year I went to Spain, turned off my phone and had a two week digital detox. It was great. This year I'm in not so sunny Devon and I've had to leave it on. It's been ringing off the hook. I suspect people have been ringing around more as so many of us are on holiday. My question is what does every other one man band do when they're on holiday? My friend is also away so he can't cover my regulars. Does everyone limit themselves to one week only?

Pensive Jock

I am unavailable for work from the xxth to the xxth of abcdefgh. Please leave a message and I will respond on my return.

I normally go for 1 week. A week next month, a week in March (just been told) and three weeks in October (wedding in oz).

I cant do with our Rubbish weather so always go abroard , I leave phone in the hotel safe , and text back to any calls explaining I am on holiday untill ??? , if its an emergency, say sorry and if not I will ring you the minute I am back .

A decent customer will be absolutely fine

We all need to recharge the batteries and getting away on holiday is the only way a bit of sun and total relaxation is whats needed, but we all know more than a week away your work load is going to pile up i have covered one of my mates jobs this week while hes away with the view of him giving me a hand on his return . cheers kop
