Hello All

I have a few questions if anyone has any idea.

Firstly how do you check if the system or service supply you are installing will meet the requirements of the system and components being installed? for example if all the hot taps are running will the storage cistern be able to feed all sufficiently.

Secondly as part of my NVQ i have to be able to prove to the assesor that I can "install main system components to meet the installation specification, eg bath, radiators etc." To be honest I dont even understand what their asking for here.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Thanks

Gary

hi gary for the second part i think they mean that the components are installed correctly so that they work correctly i.e. no leaks!

Hi Gary,

It seems like a very general question and the context is important i.e. how the actual question is phrased!! I think they are looking for some awareness of the need for correct pipe sizing and layout but could probably give a better answer if you could post the questions verbatim!!

cheers

Look up the current regulations regarding pressure and flow rates for each appliance and pipe size from there. Just a tip, the government have incorporated a lot of regulation into the Building Regs now. Go onto the government site and look them up.
