Hello everybody. I've just bought a new house and the previous owners left me nothing of any help whatsoever. Thanks previous owners!

Anyway I just wanted to understand the valves n pipes underneath my boiler

I think I have discovered an external filling loop under the worksurface

I have numbered the pipes for ease of response, please let me know what they correspond to and if they should be open/closed (I presume up-and-down means open, horizontal means closed, But please tell me if I'm wrong!)

Thanks in advance

If it's cold, that boiler doesn't need topping up, infact it's over pressure at 2 bar, it should be set to 1 bar cold. If what you think is a filling loop is connecting D+E then you're right.
You shouldn't have to touch any of those valves.
Yes, that's correct the filling loop connects the D & E, Thanks again
