Will it only be a leak somewhere that's responsible? Or could it be something else?

Got bunch of random jobs to do in a house including new rad - so need to drain-down. Checked boiler and noticed pressure guage at 0 bar. Heating works apparently, albeit a bit slow off the mark. They re-pressurise it and 2-3 days later it's down to 0. They didn't seem especially concerned but I think I made them concerned.

They haven't asked me to delve into investigating that problem but it seems remiss not to at least offer to investigate if they want me to.

I'm guessing if all visible heating pipework runs are leak free you just have to trial and error start looking under floors? Or are there other things to do/try first?

the usual suspects really, a leak or faulty expansion vessel, check the prv when you drain down see if there is pressure inside the expansion vessel,if not theres your problem you could test this theory utilising a rad ie the ac one if fitted by making a temp vessel

you can buy a leak sealer from plumbs that you add to the system. think ferrnox made one- not sure on if there any good as never used it.
