Well, my name is Derrick,
I used to work at LHR for 26 years, you name it I did it there, firemains, fresh/foul water, pit cleaning, jetting, at height, confined spaces, subways, tunnels, pumping chambers, laying firemains, repairing firemains and domestic water mains, fault finding, wave on taps, usual bog seats, roof leaks, portaloo's, T2 was all mine for 2 years, when the other guy died, he was a great bloke
They had 300 odd houses they used to rent out to staff, I looked after all them, that was the best time, own hours, plenty of PJ's, but it all went out to contract and now handled by agents
Now retired, just do a few PJ's to keep my hand in (there is a limit to the amount of grass I can cut and rooms I can decorate)
Started a real bummer of a thread, I have never had a problem like it before in all my time as a plumber
Always willing to help out, if anyone needs a plumber in West London, dont need much either (prefer cash, rather than checks, paying enough tax on my pension as it is)
Used to be CORGI (now GAS SAFE) when I was at LHR, but the ticket is for LHR, I lost it when I left but still know the reg's
Nice to be here
