Please help I have an Abode tap, it appears that the hot side is causing a slight drip. I have removed the grub screw and the handle . I have tried to remove the inners of the tap to see what state the washers are. However as you can see from the pictures the main inner is only protruding a few mm's out from the tap. I have tried box spanners, adjustable wrench and spanners, but nothing will fit. Any ideas??

Many Thanks in advance

Pictures would help.

If the tap is a monobloc mixer, when you take the handle off there is a kind of chrome dome and you can see the large cartridge retaining nut inside. That chrome dome will unscrew to give access to the nut with a spanner. You may need to get a pair of grips on it but be careful not to damage it.
