looking for a toilet pan which is near too as possible to 525mm in height. dont want a raiser under foot really as its for a 30 stone wheel chair bound customer who has to slide onto toilet and the lateral movement may rip it off its fixings.

any pointers?

I got a tall one off my indie merchant last year which wasnt too costly, it is now taking 34 stone regularly!!

nah, thats 4'' to short!.

the council wont change this womans toilet and its a standard low level pan in a wet room!!.
so the same old story, she has to pay herself on her disability money and tbh doesnt look like she has much to spare...
she is wheelchair bound and has to slide off her chair and sit sideways on loo due to space.
problem is her chair is 550mm hight although she can slide she cant lift herself so needs to be same hieght.
thinking of building plinth but it might be in the way of chair wheels..taller pan is easier!!

30 stone, sliding on sideways, and a pan 8inches higher than normal, with all the stress on base fixings that entails? At a mundane level the toilet seat is going to break every week, but that's nothing compared to the pan cracking which she is getting on or off. That could actually prove fatal if the femoral artery got cut

How about a stainless steel one with integral seat pads, either custom made for the height, or bolted to a plinth?

she busted 4 seats last year!
i say sideways...chair at front of bog..sliding on toward cistern sitting sideways on it.
she cant use 'soft pad' as she cant slide.
s/s was my thought but i doubt she can afford it as my feelers say £150 is her max.

a 4'' timber capped with 1'' ply plinth sounds the option Ray!

she just wants her dignity back as she has to wait for a carer to call to go to the loo, cant be nice..

i could also cut an 8'' hole in her chair seat and hang a bucket between the wheels?

Hoist? That's what they are for! Ripped one out few weeks ago. U could have had it - used twice to get grant and planning permission then his mother went into home.

I would want stainless but with a huge 900mm base plate as sideways loads of force .

Fine in principal, but how long before the seat hinges are broken?

The real issues here are the disability and the weight. I guess that the disability can't be over come, and I don't want to come over as judgemental, but it would all be a lot easier if the loads were smaller?

I fitted a new high toilet pan to replace an old low level pan for a neighbour.
From memory it was about 18 or 19" high & therefore with a seat it might be near your required height of 525mm. It was really nice & solid pan for just over £100 & made in UK. 30 stone is a bit heavy for any china!
I will get back to you when I get the details.

Take a look at Lantac L/L DOC -M.
I got only the pan for a low level toilet & I see it is 480mm high. With a substantial toilet seat it will be close to your required height. Not sure if it will be good for 30 stone person tbh. Would be in your budget.

think the easy/price way is build a plinth. bolt to floor and refix pan. that keeps it fitted as standard!.
suitable, idk?

or just tell her to get someone who specialises in this sort of problem.

geez, give me a boiler to service instead lol.
