when the heating has been on for ages the bedroom radiator/pipe make a really really loud noise and vibrates. it stop when i turn the radiator off or turn the hot tap on. often having to leave the radiator off so it doesn't scare the family to death when they've gone to bed. any ideas?

Have to agree with MK1 you probably have a faulty valve I changed one only yesterday doing the same thing ? , it may also be caused by being installed incorrectly trv valves are not all bidirectional and have to be installed with the flow of heating water đź’¦ in the correct direction as indicated on the valve body you can test this by determining which end gets hot first from cold .
