Hi
can you do Lpg without doing ccn1 as spoke to someone this morning and he says he does Lpg cookers fire boilers on Residential Park Homes without doing ccn1 and then switching over as i thought it was only way it could be done

You can do lpg directly which is cclp1
Then you can do a change over to natural gas.

you can do any of the core qualifications directly.

You might want to note that most rph and lav appliances come under specialised qualifications!

Obviously!

not to mention i think you then have to get evidence of widney gas fires, lpg water heaters (not the rinnai or morco type)

lpg fridges

ducted space heaters.

and your other appliances still :)

Surely if he's doing fires, boilers and cookers he needs core gas safety.

Yes, realised after that he only does LPG, I did the changeover, in fact that is the first time I've ever heard of LPG only. Thought everyone would go through NG first.

Its easier from what ive been told.

I think there are more requirements.

trying to find widneys or carver style fires isnt all that easy!

Local firm to me have only got LPG with RPH and LAV along with the relevant appliances. They only do caravan park work so don't need NG or PD. If they get any NG or PD enquiries they pass them over to me.

i only want LPG rph as my father owns 6 holiday caravan parks with log cabins, static caravans etc

still will have problems to do a portfolio as no one on any site does Lpg now due to last person passed away before xmas that why was looking to get it done plus was thinking of doing oil course as few cottages that are rented out run on oil

use the registered guy who has to do your lpg on site to teach you, he wants work and will let you tag along!

at the moment there is no one registered to do lpg on any site as the registered guy we used is no longer about as he didn't wake from his sleep on christmas eve, that why was looking at doing it but looks like we have to sub it all out and put it up for tender in the new year

Im sure you can get a guy off of this forum to do the work and you can shadow him/her.
