Hi,

I have a new extension with 3 radiators (it’s quite a large space). I had 2 radiators in my original space so I have 1 extra (albeit one of the others is larger than its predecessor). The pipework to and from the radiators is new (the original system is a one pipe system but we are changing it to flow and return as we work in different rooms).

The problem is that none of the radiators heat up properly. They are barely warm. I have Hive TRVs to see if that made it more controllable but it made no difference. I have a call back with my original plumber but he’s ignoring me ☹️

Any advice gratefully received - my heating is on the 8/9 hours at the minute as it’s just not reaching temperature!

Best to hurry up and convert the system to a two pipe as being in the middle is hurting you

It‘s likely because it’s a 1 pipe system, not the easiest to balance and you’d have to do this every single time you alter it.
Thanks for the reply. The original system is one pipe but all the new radiators are flow and return. He said it would make the radiators heat up quicker (which they are obviously not currently). So do you think it will just need balancing?

I don’t think we have much left to convert now - currently run out of money after the extension 😂

I know it’s a bit drastic can you cap off the single pipe for now until your cash recovers :D
