 Hello guys...
I have been reading this forum for the last couple of months and it's really helpful. Now it came to the point that I should move from software engineer to plumbing and gas engineer. I m visiting ableskills in dartford, kent to discuss more about the courses.

thanks,

Be very careful and do not make a snap decision to sign anywhere.
Also speak to colleges

Don't just jump in to this trade because it sound interesting from reading posts on this forum, Believe me there are plenty of plumbers/gas engineers who would rather be doing your job.

Before you commit to any training establishment and spend ££££'s , get some feedback and reviews on them. A lot of the short course companies only teach you how to pass the ACS tests which will qualify you, but you may struggle to apply the knowledge you need on the job. Not intending to put you off, as I took the same route after a career in the army. I was lucky enough to get some hands on experience with a gsr engineer afterwards where I learnt most of the real trade skills you need.

if it's what you want to do pal you should give it a go. Good luck
