Hi this post is on behalf of my niece, after my boiler had broke and needed new heat exchanger I was partially without heating and hot water for 2 weeks all fixed now. But after mine was done. My niece's went down and it as a fault of not enough gas getting to boiler she has 3 children under 5 youngest 2 bein 4 month old. They couldn't fix it and said she needs new boiler all together as this boiler was a old old one they gave her one little heater to warm up her house and said it can a week to get new boiler this was weds this was said she's been a week already today with out. The plumber has said they will be in touch but it's upto his boss when this will be done. Is this illigal to leave her this long or is it normal especially with 3 children under the age of 3

So they’ve upgraded the gas pipe, and still not enough gas getting through? I’d say gas transporter issue then?

Water pressure for the heating could be a few things as well, but wukdnt write the boiler off.

Renting, I’m not sure how long they can leave legally.

Agree if the gas line has the correct drop eg 1 mbar max it’s down to the networks and a new boiler won’t solve the issue

Theve said it needs new boiler it was a e2 fault on boiler I think she said and they tried the new part but still wasn't doing it, she was with bulb elec and gas and they've gone bust so don't know if that's anything to do with it but her gas meter is in her next door neighbour back garden as she don't have one with being a middle house but each side neighbor has Gardens so bit of a wierd one lol

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
