Ive noticed my local independents prices have have increased considerably over the last year and there reasons is they cant compete with online sales which is strange because I thought they would drop their prices to compete not increase them. Ive had a look but there are that many online so who do you use ?

Dhs spares

Part centre mostly

Why would your Indie drop there prices to match on line.?
Do you advertise " I will beat any price, regardless of the quality of the work and service".

To be fair, dog eat dog.

They should price match at least. Most online firms do.

I've moved this to the GSR members only forum.

I have found the same recently. It's really annoying. Suppliers used to be really competitive against each other. I was contemplating buying online but just not sure. Wouldn't want something to arrive wrong and have to go to a main supplier to get it anyway.:(:(

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
