Hi Guys

Hoping somebody on here can help, I am looking to replace some radiators in my house which I know are over 32 years old (we bought house off partners parents and they never changed em) but I've no way of telling their output, the radiators are quite distinctive if you could identify them? I have tried online BTU calculators but just for our bedroom they vary about 2000 BTUs depending on which one you use :/

Any help/advice very much appreciated

Thanks in advance

Brett

Agree with Howsie. I know different calculators vary in their results, but just use the higher value if you're unsure.

Thanks for your replies guys, I think the output is fine but the Mrs is always cold in our room, I wanted to increase the temp which is why I wanted to know the output, We live in a dormer bungalow and using one calculator gave us mid to high 2000's and the highest was about 5500 BTUs. The max height the radiator can be is 400mm without sticking above the windowsill. The current radiator is 400 x 1800 single with no fins on the back but looks quite thick, and has elongated diamond shaped channels which look like they hold more water than a standard rad but might just be the design!

I will have a look at the links above too thanks again

I've just used both calculators above and these are my results :/ 2900 and 4788

they sound like huderads ,smooth fronted ? if they are their still made so you should get outputs from their website, pictures?
