Hello, Since a few weeks the hot water pipes make an awful rattling noise when we turn them on. This could be any from hot water tap in the house. Especially when they are half opened. This does not happen with the cold water. The noise seems to come from the pipes underneath the shower room, which is upstairs. We live in a standard 3 bedroom detached house and have a Baxi combi boiler. I have tried to turn the mains off and drain all the hot water incase it is trapped air, but although it went away for a short time, it is now back again. Any suggestions please? Thanks

Yeah I'd be looking at unclipped pipes too

As above, but could also be a worn washer on your mains water stop tap or any other cold mains valve for that matter (toilet fill valves etc)
Try turning your main stop tap off, then opening it slightly to see if that makes a difference when using the hot taps
Also if your toilet cistern(s) have isolation valves on them, turn them off and try that, if nothing else it will eliminate them as the cause
