Is there a rule of thumb when converting to red diesel? Farmer custard of mine just bought a used warm air blower for the truck she'd buy wants to run it on diesel. I think it's an increase in pump pressure and bigger nozzle but by how much and what am
I looking for on FGA?
Thanks

Was it running on kerosene before? You may need a preheater and timer to warm the fuel before it will light. (Imagine starting your van with no glow plugs in winter!) Speak to the burner manufacturer. It may not convert, may need a new burner.

On oil boilers the oil pressure is higher on diesel & usually the nozzle is smaller to atomise the oil better, to let it ignite straight away & also continue to burn properly.
Co2 is similar to Kerosene as with smoke number.
I would get some info on the burner. Croppie might know about them as he does diesel commercial.

Work out heat input required then look up on nozzle charts to find what nozzle you want, really want min 10bar oil pressure.

Don't forget diesel can contain bio fuel now so you need the correct oil lines, seals in filters, fire valves, fuel pumps, etc otherwise the rubber seals will perish and leak.
