Hello,
I am changing the old lead pipe. Will I get away with 20mm MDPE considering the wall of the lead pipe didn't leave much of an opening.
Thanks,A123dhills.

If you can 25mm but as above

the difference in price is minimal.
is there any issue with space?
go 25mm

Old Lead pipe wasn't sized on external diameter so ignore that internally it was about 1/2" or 15mm so I would go with the 25 mm so as no pressure loss.

Lead pipe was supplied in 1/2" 3/4" and 1" to domestic properties. There's still a heck of a lot of it around. Being old skool, I still have my original moleskin cloth for solder wiping ball joints, which thankfully have been replaced with Philmacs and Leadloc fittings. Sound advice above is to err on the larger side.
