Hello everyone,

I'm fixing a single handle mixer tap in a friends toilet basin. It's dripping slowly on either rotation of the handle.

I've stripped down the tap and accessed the internals but there is no cartridge in this tap as when I search spares for miser taps it always shows cartridges? The gland goes down to a seat which presses against two prongs to vary the flow - these are the problem but I can't seem to find a replacement or what they are called?

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks,
Chris.

I know, I was pushed for time tonight so didn’t take any photos, the only one I’ve got is of the logo. I’ll attach it to see if you can recognise it? Thanks again.

That logo looks like an A and an S combined, so points to Armitage Shanks, a quick google for armitage shanks logo didn't bring anything like that up though.
A lot of companies rebranded in the 90's and early 00's though so you never know.
Definitely seen that logo before though, will stop thinking about it now and it'll probably come to me while taking a dump, like it does :)

Its a thermostatic sequential tap. Change it. A new cartridge will cost you more than a new pat.

yeah new tap time, you can get a good new tap, including a francis peglar tap, for around £35 and it will just work no messing.
