Got a call from a cust on thursday saying there vaillant system boiler that I fitted in the loft was loosing pressure,he tops it up,it shoots up to 3 bar.As it"s under guarantee I told him to ring vaillant & tell them it"s the expansion vessel that needs replacing.
He phones vaillant who agree with the diagnosis, but demand his credit card details before they will send a engineer WTF.
I think it"s out of order, the cust was"nt happy to do it but they had no choice.

To be honest you should of called them (Vaillant) for a repair that's what I do in similar situations your customer is yours and you Vaillants customer

Did the boiler get registered with Vaillant ? maybe that why they asked for CC details.

so they can charge if no one in or the installs dont meet their spec!!

get the same with gloworms, I advise customers to tell them its is a manufacturers fault to be repaired under warranty, go sling their hook, normally works and they cave in and turn up anyhow.

Would have been quicker if you had gone round & pumped it up!

Vaillant still have crappy vessels that lose pressure for no reason it seems... Worcester trump vaillant for after care alone, what use is a long warranty if the custards get stung for 275 call out once they play the dirty water card??
