Discuss Very low hot water pressure in shower in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net

Hi there,

I am facing an issue with very low hot water pressure in my upstairs shower. I have unvented hot water cylinder on the same floor and another shower as well. The hot water pressure is good in the other shower as well as in the bath mixer tap.

I have a GROHE 1000 mixer shower and i tried to look for obvious signs of debris in the cartridge but it looked clean. The pressure is low from the shower outlet itself so shower head is also not a problem. Not sure what is wrong with only this shower :(

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

1. Check and clean the filters fitted to the hot (and cold) feeds from the wall.
2. If fitted (and I don't know if these have them) check and clean the non-return valves.

As said above, I don't know if these showers have them. If they do, I'd expect them to be inside the parts that attach to the wall pipes. Behind the filters in the direction of flow.

I think you will find them in here as below , also check the gauze filters and the gauze on the thermostatic cartridge . Kop
