Hi Chaps

Just wanting to know if there is anyone who specialises in professional wet rooms on here? im looking at breaking into this market after getting more experience but i was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to let me tag along on one of your jobs for a few days

I dont need anything apart from letting me stand by gaining the knowledge im willing to get stuck in with nothing as payment required, idealy id want someone in the yorkshire area but im willing to travel and pay for my own digs if it suits

im nvq 2 qualified
been working for myself for 1 year bathroom fitting

If anyone is intrested in giving me a few days please inbox me to chat a chat thanks

Could be a tricky one this, not many if any company's will let you watch how to do a job , you then potentially become a competitor.

yeah there is that but im only local and my town isnt that big, im not about to take the market by storm, ive asked just on the basis my town is mostly retirement on the east coast and alot of my customers ideally need level access and proper walk in wet rooms, i know i can fit them but i dont want to cut corners and want it doing 100% just after tips and on the ob advice :)

I know some wetroom manufacturers ( trays / tanking kits etc ) do courses , that maybe a good place to start

There's a guy on here that does amazing wet rooms. Builds his own formers out of ply. I bieve his name is phil. He will have some good advice I am sure

Go on a course like this.Schlüter-Systems Education Centre | Schlüter-Systems

You need to be good at tiling ( or know somone who is) most of the bathroom is normal plumbing. The main difference is the wet room shower tray. Every one uses a former and a tanking system. Grout is only water resistant, so the tanking is there as a water proofed. There are lots of tray formers and tanking systems.
I tend to use pre-formed trays like marmox. Wetroom Showertray Marmox
Then tank with ardex. This is a latex cement and is very good imho ARDEX WPC Flexible Rapid Setting and Drying Waterproof Protection System
