What do you prefer breakdowns or installs??

Installs. Because installs is all I've ever done. I'd strongly recommend any new guys starting in the industry to get into breakdowns first. I certainly regret not learning more of that side.

Breakdowns can be a pain, not sure how long to allow etc, gotta collect parts, can sometimes go wrong & cost ya too lol!

Both can be a pain , breakdowns all the running around and possibility of wrong diagnostic . Installs trying to get a decent wage out of the hard work .

servicing, easy money: breakdowns, have to use the grey matter and involves a bit more stress but more money: installs sress the knees even more, can be stressy when they want their home back, but pays well over the others, however get an install wrong and your back doing the breakdown bit for free................ worst thing of all, modern gas rayburns, horrible things............

100% breakdowns. I find that the more you do, the easier it it, and you get a system going to test components, and you don't need MI so much. At first though, it is a complete nightmare, you feel like your in a perfect storm when you go to your first Ferroli and its problem after problem!!!

Have done both but much prefer servicing and breakdowns as that is how i started out as a British Gas engineer......

Have never really liked being stuck at one address much more than an hour, always wanting to be getting away
