    I've had success with a wet vac jammed in the wastepipe , a wet cloth over the outlet by the drain. Sucked out a large wodge of long hair.

    did one last year in nice block of apartments. So silent, original wc in the 1960's built flat, chosen in consideration of neighbours below, sharp contrast to todays laminate flooring/ telly/ shouting at 3am.

    I've not been on a privately owned firm's course, I'll make no comment but urge you to read other peoples' experiences.( On the south coast I believe the council/local higher education still offer the C&G you want). Your pal needs to offer a few days a week period, until or beyond you qualify...

    Good tip from Radioman. The other week a feller told me he located a hidden (by the tiler) iso valve by drilling a hole big enough to take the camera/light probe his mechanic pal lent him. ( They're small enough to go through spark plug hole). Could save a lot of indoors grief.
