Guys , I took an very old gas fire out for some damp course guys and put it back today , bombed the flue , no problems, did a spillage test , no problems. The thing I am unsure about was the gas control was a simple gas tap, no thermocouple. Hence no safety device .
Lady doesnt want a new fire and this is actually working as it should.

Apart from verbal should I be classifying this ?

Thanks in advance
