Hi all, I am planning on moving one radiator to another wall in the living room and adding a further radiator as well. Pipework is buried in the floor screed. What's the best way of approaching this?

When I remove the existing rad I can probably trace the pipe run so that it can be cut out or capped if that's a better idea. I would still need to access pipework elsewhere to then add a new radiator at another point in the room.

What's the preferred method of creating a channel for the new pipework and does it have to comply with any building regs i.e. copper/plastic contained inside some kind of ducting?

Many thanks.

make sure you insulate properly if installing it back to screed. Dont use felt on copper. Be careful when chasing screed not to damage any existing pipes. Solder joints if possible but it may not be easy if you dont drain water completely. Pipes should be buried at least 25mm in the screed. Can you go around skirting board or you dont want to do that?

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
