I recently had a service on my worcester bosch boiler by Warmserve supposedly reputable which is under guarantee and before the service I had no problems but straight after the service I had a leak from the boiler which when the service engineer came back told me I needed a new condensate trap! This has now been fitted and cost £80 plus vat without cost of service! Why did this happen straight after a service? What is the point of having a service which is supposed to stop problems not create them and is there any redress?

Sometimes when you service boilers, things break.
Sometimes when you service boilers, parts have to be replaced.
Sometimes when you remove a condensate trap to clean it, it breaks or leaks when you reinstall it.

I'm convinced it's a part that has been 'designed to be replaced' at least once in a boilers lifetime.

Didn’t grease the oring before refitting common issue also you can buy a new oring separately
