Aqualisa Colt- on/off control come off & can’t turn off.. help please

The pipe photos earlier, are they of behind the shower, or elsewhere? Do the pipes go behind the wall, or under the bath?

They are from the cupboard downstairs under the stairs… there’s none visible in the bathroom (and no bath!)

1. It looks as if the "on/off" valve and its entire spindle have become detached from the rest of the unit. I don't know how this one goes together so can't advise on re-assembling it.
2. However, the valve appears to be a push fit onto the pipes, being held in place by four screw. If you could get hold of two 15 mm Speedfit stop ends you could:
2a. Turn off the water at the mains.
2b. Remove the cover plate.
2c. Undo and remove the four fixing screws securing the black plastic body of the mechanism to the wall.
2d. Slide the valve off the pipes,
2e. Push a stop end onto each pipe.
2f. Turn the water on again and check all is secure.
3. I notice most of the shops (B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation etc.) are closed today. If its really urgent and you are prepared to drive to Hanger Lane I can give you a couple of the stop ends.
