I measured the burner pressure on a fixed injector boiler and the reading was not to the MI's instructions on the gauge. I have been advised that i should do a gas rate test on the applaince. What is the point in doing this when I already know the burner pressure is wrong? The pressure from the inlet to the meter and the inlet to the applaince is below 1mb so pipework is fine. You also have a 5% + or - allowance with a gas rate test. Does this rule apply to both fixed injector and range rated boilers?

Information is knowledge ,that is why it is important to get as much as possible when required
You have been asked to check gas rate of boiler although you have found burner pressure to be wrong, you are assuming gas rate will be out due to above, why ,what if you find correct, would this surprise you, what would it mean
You probably thought when you did a burner pressure test and found setting was out ,you could adjust gas valve flow and all would be ok, now we have found that is not the case, for if you did so the gas rate would be wrong ,so now you are looking else were for fault, due to the extra test, checking burner ,injector
Presume you mean you have less than 1 m/b drop,so yes Ok

First things first, what is the working pressure at the meter? is it between 19 and 23mbar?

Whats the flame picture like? if not happy phone manufacturer i would not just leave it, cover yourself or turn off appliance and label it.
