I measured the burner pressure on a fixed injector boiler and the reading was not to the MI's instructions on the gauge. I have been advised that i should do a gas rate test on the applaince. What is the point in doing this when I already know the burner pressure is wrong? The pressure from the inlet to the meter and the inlet to the applaince is below 1mb so pipework is fine. You also have a 5% + or - allowance with a gas rate test. Does this rule apply to both fixed injector and range rated boilers?
