No. I never have offered to use chromed copper pipes to radiators except in bathrooms, or where a customer insists.
Too much bother to remove chrome off pipes for soldering.
Pipes coming out of a wall and with soldered elbow on show are different though and require chrome pipe and elbows for neatness.
Personally I use the snap on pipe covers - chrome or stainless look on rad and other pipes if needed. I think they give identical look and easy to replace if ever damaged.
I doubt if most people can tell the difference between chromed pipe and chrome pipe covers on vertical pipe tails to rad valves if the covers are carefully cut and trimmed.
I know we plumbers can perhaps recognise pipes with pipe covers due to the slightly wider look of the pipe, but customers won't.

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
