As the title says chaps

ive had to take a gas run outside to a new boiler site upstairs.

Lady has asked that I cover the "industrial" 22mm copper running up the side of the house.

It doesn't have to protect it, just make it better on the eye???

i have told her that the colour will improve over time but any ideas please????

cheers

Was thinking along those lines mate but don't see how plastic up the wall is any more aesthetically pleasing than just pipe

That is genius !!!! :smart:

Problem is I don't think she really knows what she wants it to look like. However in contrast I don't really have any decorative thoughts.

do it in mild steel instead that will rust nicely in due course :)

Why not use galvanised cable covers that they use on telegraph poles and you can paint it with whatever you like

used square downpipe before and cut a slot out of the back and fitted over the pipe . used a lot on flats to hide 2 or more pipes . just set circular saw to cut a 22mm slot out of the back

Iv heard of it done with AC pipes, can't see the reasoning myself. After 20 layers of paint the pipes just blend in

Full length of downpipe looks the best, just like an actual downpipe. But it depends where the gas pipe is, if it's smack bang in the middle of the wall it might look strange.
