Guy Martin F1 Special for petrol heads

Anyone else see the enlightening Bike / Car duel out with Guy Martin and David Coulthard at Silverstone on the tv last night?

They were a lot closer matched than I imagined they would be even in the weaving though the cones duel.
If you missed it it`s worth catching up on.

I can`t remember seeing that one. Would never of thought that during the drag race Guy had his foot gently applying the rear brake.

I remember Guy talking about a fighter pilot and somebody had graffitied his memorial. He said what a knob, few words but well said. Top man Guy.

That is one properly sorted awesome car! Even reading the article in his own words put a smile on my face.

Absolutely right but I doubt the result would've been much different, they rigged the first drag race by putting wets on the F1 car to make it seem closer and then Top Gear style rigged the final race by effectively giving Martin a lap head start. The only test they could conceive where the bike came out on top was a (relatively) low speed slalom that the F1 car had trouble negotiating because of it's size. I like Martin but this was a little token for me, reaction test and changing of gears and F1 tyres etc all a bit of a snooze before the F1 season and (MotoGP) season starts.
