Zirconium

The long horizontal flue (serving a condensing boiler} is leaking where it is attached to the external extension which goes through the external wall. Any suggestions about how this join can be fixed? Is it a question of squeezing sealant in the gap where the external pipe enters the internal pipe? If so what sealant should I use?

A well fitted flue from a condensing boiler with the correct gradient rise shouldnt leak, call in a competent GSR engineer to test the boiler with a FGA,sounds like a flue seal was damaged on installation.THIS is a safety issue get it sorted immediately.

No, the flue needs to be dismantled to see where it is leaking from and may need replacing. This needs to be done by a registered gas engineer. Until the flue has been checked/repaired do not use the boiler as it could be leaking products of combustion into the property.

Any plumbers qualified to undertake the repair in London SE1 please?

Thats the second best decision you've made today my friend put a post here [DLMURL="http://www.ukplumbersforums.co.uk/im-looking-plumber-gas-engineer/"]I'm looking for a Plumber or Gas Engineer[/DLMURL]

Products of combustion include;-

Carbon monoxide
Carbon dioxide
Nitrous oxides

All will kill u pretty quickly

Turn boiler off and get a gas safe engineer urgently!

I don't hear about many people laughing them selves to death through inhaling products of combustion, its normally an evil headache, aches and pains before the heart failure.
